About Me

My photo
As I have more photos of food than I care to count, I thought why not I share my humble findings with anyone who stumbles upon this blog. Nothing fancy.....cannot afford it lah.....not with my kind of salary....sigh (hinting to my boss). Sorry about the not so professional looking photos. Cannot afford to get a better camera yet (another hint). I also like to browse online shopping sites for the fun of it. Quite interesting, you know. But.......real shopping (you know... drive to a shopping complex, fight for a parking space and jostle with the other shoppers inside the complex) is not my cup of tea, heh, heh. So....I just might add some more online shopping site links here (those that I think are interesting lah....you know..not those common ones). So, if you are like me, do keep an eye on the shopping column on your right, eh? I also like to think about and dissect quotes of famous and ordinary people. Aaand....I also like to ramble about things and people I observed everyday. By the way, anyone of you want a pet? Have a look at the sidebar (Please Help Them). These adorable animals are waiting for a loving person to adopt them. Buuut....remember, a pet is forever. No abuse.

Kedai Makanan & Minuman Sun Heng, Ipoh

Went to a coffee shop in Kampung Simee, Ipoh for breakfast this morning. There was a chee cheong fun stall, a pork noodle stall, an economy meehoon stall and a curry noodle stall. Maybe it was still early (only 7.30 a.m.) or maybe it's the way they do things but our drinks order had to be repeated twice before they got it right after bringing the wrong drinks to our table twice.
And perhaps it's her normal way of speaking, but, the young lady at the curry noodle stall sounded quite impatient even though she wasn't run off her feet. Anyway, our orders of curry noodles with and without 'liu' and chicken curry noodles (dry version) arrived very quickly. The curry noodles was quite tasty although they shouldn't call it curry since it was not at all spicy. The chicken curry noodles (dry version) was passable with 4 big pieces of chicken although a bit on the salty side and........not spicy at all. Less of the salt would make it better.........?
Mum was pleased with her order of pan mee from the pork noodles stall. The pan mee was very springy , she said, and the soup very flavourful and besides the standard mince meat, also comes with slices of pork. The yee mee was equally good - same soup base as the pan mee, I think????? Once again the sambal belacan was great.
Kedai Makanan & Minuman Sun Heng is located at the junction of Jalan Pasar and Lebuh 5 in Kampung Simee, Ipoh.

This is from the pork noodle stall

The curry that shouldn't be called curry????
